OTAKON TABLE LOCATION!

Helloooooooooo! It's been awhile since I've said anything about otakon but thats because I've been busy with school and work @_@. BUT we got our table placement today! So come visit Lindsey Miller and I at table S11 (avenue A)!

We will be selling prints, phone charms, plushies, and hopefully some comics! Keep an eye out on my DA for a list of things I will be selling! Hope to see you there!

Getting ready for Otakon!

It's been awhile since I've posted here, I've been a little distracted with classes and the end of the year finals. BUT I'M FREE NOWWWW! (For a week....) Since I'm only out for a week before my summer classes and work starts I'm hard at work getting ready for otakon. I've started working on a Mononoke print for otakon and more sculpey charms (squids this time) and sushi onigiri earrings!

I took a little break from work to take a picture of my work space :D (which has been non existent till recently). Well thats all for now! I'll be posting things I'll be selling at otakon when I can :D.

Otakon Artist Alley!

So Rin and I got our table at Otakon and we are beyond excited (and nervous) for the summer!
Rin will also be representing Hexx Press

Otakon updates and sketches

By now most people who would read this blog probably know that Rin and I have been placed on the waitlist for the Otakon Artist Alley, we're still hopeful though! Even if we don't get into the Artist Alley this year we will still be at otakon :3! I've been a bit upset since we didn't get our table and I've been busy with school work so I haven't been doing much. BUT here are some sketch from my Art history note book. The one on the left is pretty much how I felt on the night of the AA registration because it didn't start on time so i was non-stop staring at my screen. The other ones just how I felt the last couple weeks......sleeepppppppyyyy. I've also made some little sushi charms recently so I'll have pictures of those soon I hope.
In blog related news I've uploaded a good portion of my School portfolio to flickr and put it under the "School Portfolio" tab on my blog. Its in lytebox formmmmm YAY!
Finally, I am open to taking commissions now if anyone is interested just check out the tab at the top of my blog and contact me :o!

Tonight was the night to register for the Artist Alley at otakon...after spazing out for like 40 minutes (it didn't open when they said it would) I finally got me and Rin registered....now we just have to hope we get a table ><. So I have a picture of another charm I'm planning to sell at otakon(hopefulllyyy). It's ADVENTURE TIMEEEEE :D (sorry the picture is crappy I'll get a better one later). This charm is a 2 piece charm of both Finn and Jake because separating them would be wrong.I'm not sure if I'm going to price these the same as the other charms or make them a little more expensive....I'm still thinking about it. Well that's all for now I'll let everyone know about otakon once we find out <3!!

I've had these pieces done for awhile but I've been too lazy to take pictures of them. All this motivation I've had lately to do things is weird. I don't know whats going on but I hope it lasts. Anyway here are two phone charms (they don't have their lariats in the picture but they will) of No face and Cho and Chibi Totoro.

I have been testing out this glaze for 6 months now and my charm on my phone is still nicely painted. Which is saying something since most charms I get get all scratched off :(. I also Have little squid figures that I'm hoping to sell. Heres a few, I'm trying to make different expressions and colors but I haven't made any recently because of school and lack of interest. Hopefully I'll get around to making more again soon.

New layout and Otakon sketch.

So I've been unusually motivated lately, which is surprising being I haven't drawn much of anything outside of class since the summer @_@. Well as you may have noticed I've changed my layout (yay!) and added a more simplified version of my logo (the more detailed one is still a WIP), so tell me what you think! I've also added some fancy tabs *0* and have decided to finally start accepting commissions if anyone is interested (info in the tab of course).

I've also been working on this...okay so i just did this tonight....I've been too afraid to attempt drawing so I've been putting it off. But I finally started up a sketch for something I'm hoping to sell at otakon, if me and Rin (AKA Absurdity is the Reality) get a table. Its Nausicaa fan art <3<3. This piece is about 14x11 and I'm planning on just cross hatching it, like the nausicaa manga is done, but I may color it instead. We will see once I get everything down and ink it. If you see anything weird tell me now so I can fix it if I see fit. Oh and her back arm is going to have a bug of some sort on it and her body is still a big work in progress but I'm taking a break for the night.

BEES.
So for my Digital Concepts class we have to make awareness posters. Most people are making recycling posters i think....I'm making one about HONEY BEES W00T!!! (it's because bees are awesome and if i didn't recycling i wouldn't even do it....well)
So heres my WIP (well part of it you can't see the top).

So this school project, along with the paper and test i have due on Tuesday I haven't really been working on my logo and name for my website. But I'll get there. I'm also doing little side comics(called "Whoops") of just conversations me and my roommate have....no one else will probably find them funny, but its okay its just to get me back into drawing. :D

We'll see how this all turns out......

New Name. New Log.

Well it's been awhile...and for anyone who actually paid any attention to this super under used blog you may notice I've erased all previous posts and changed my blog name...Although this name may only be temporary...I'm still searching for a permanent one.
Suggestions are welcome (I'm looks for something death/sleep based).
Once I pick a name I'm planning on making my own website.

But while I figure all that stuff out I'm working on a logo for myself :o! Heres my work in progress of the more detailed version, which I'm coloring digitally....something I haven't done in years.
I will be making a simple one later on (I already have sketches) so I can put them on my art work and what not.

I'll attempt to use this blog more too...I'm just lazy when it comes to scanning WIPs and what not. >o>
